Beer Industry NAICS codes

Improve your research by knowing your NAICS code(s)

Codes are used for searching Census data. NAICS codes are also helpful when searching industry information in many of our library subscription databases. Search the NAICS system to locate additional codes relevant for your industry research needs; select codes listed below 

  • 312120 Breweries (Industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in brewing beer, ale, lager, malt liquors, and nonalcoholic beer.)
  • 445310 Beer, Wine, and Liquor Stores  
  • 424810 Beer and Ale Merchant Wholesalers (This industry comprises establishments primarily engaged in the merchant wholesale distribution of beer, ale, porter, and other fermented malt beverages)

IBISWorld Industry Research 

  • Search by NAICS code or use Keyword 

    • Industry reports use the first 5 digits of a NAICS code

    • Specialized "sub" reports, such as Craft Beer are labeled with an OD

First Research for Industries (Mergent)

  • Search by NAICS code or use Keyword

    • Unique to this source are trending news & Social media feeds, and Call Prep Sheets (Sample Q and A to industry executives). 

ABI/Inform (Proquest)

  • Advanced search feature(s) helpful for industry research: NAICS code and Document type with a limit to Industry Report

    • Publications of Interest: BMI Industry Insights Reports, First Research Industry Profiles, Plunketts Analytics Reports, Just -Drinks,  US Industry & Market Reports, and more.

Bizminer

  • Search: From top menu select Report Search, from dropdown select Industry search tools. Enter either a keyword OR enter a NAICS code, click the blue show reports button.

    • Financial analysis & Market analysis reports available.
