Group Study Rooms

Kellogg Library has 42 Group Study Rooms (GSRs) for students to work in, which can be found on the 2nd, 4th and 5th floors of the library. Most rooms handle six people comfortably, but we also have GSRs for groups as large as 12 people and as small as 4 people. All have tables, chairs, a whiteboard, and power outlets. GSRs on the 5nd floor and in the 2nd floor Academic Success Center feature additional technology to facilitate collaborative work, including widescreen digital displays with HDMI or wireless connections.

Reserve a Group Study Room

To see if a room is available or to make a reservation, check out the calendar on the GSR Reservation site. All rooms must be reserved in advance – rooms on the 5th floor can be reserved up to two weeks in advance, rooms on the 2nd and 4th floors can be reserved up to 24 hours in advance. The reservation system includes detailed information about each GSR, including photos and a location map.

Group Study Room Policy

Group study rooms are intended for current student academic use only, and for GROUPS OF TWO OR MORE PEOPLE. A single person may be asked to vacate a study room to accommodate a group of two or more people. Complete information on who can use the GSRs, how to make reservations, and how the rooms should be used can be found in the GSR policy document.
