Fall Context Exhibit Artist Talk & Printmaking Workshop

Join the University Library in welcoming Salvador de la Torre for an in-person discussion where they will go over the significance and meaning behind their collection, "impresiones". Salvador de la Torre is a Mexican born Texas raised artist, storyteller, and educator, whose artwork intricately and expertly reflects their intersectional identities and positionality within society.

The artist will also host a printmaking workshop where participants will brainstorm and sketch words, phrases, symbols, and images that resonate with their own personal identity, and ultimately go home with a 4x6 print. As participants are working, de la Torre will share more about their exhibition and lead a talk surrounding identity and self-acceptance. This event is free for CSUSM students. There is limited space with a capacity for 25 students and registration is required
