Are you a CSUSM faculty member interested in reducing the cost of assigned course materials and textbooks? Have you already reduced these costs in your courses this current academic year?
The Cougars Affordable Learning Materials (CALM) program at CSUSM provides funding to support professional development for faculty who have already reduced or commit to reducing the costs of required course materials.
Even if you are not interested in applying for professional development funding, please use this form to report any courses you will teach in Spring 2021 that have zero textbook/required materials costs. Identifying courses that have zero textbook and materials costs in the course schedule is required by California state law (SB 1359).
You do NOT need to offer a zero-cost course to apply for professional development funding. Applications for funding this academic year are due January 31, 2021.
Email firstname.lastname@example.org with any questions, and thank you for your interest in reducing the cost of course materials at CSUSM.
