Take a snack break!

Good News! We’ve created a Break Room for student use on the 2nd floor of the library, in room 2021.
This room has a microwave and electric kettle for heating up food or drinks to keep you going while you study. It will be open whenever the library is open, and free snacks will be provided by ASI during the 24/5 Zone hours (9p-6a).

Spring 2018 Exhibition

The Context Library Series is pleased to present The Laboring Self, on display March 14- July 1, 2018 in the library gallery. The Laboring Self is an interactive installation that draws parallels between unregulated labor and its effect on workers’ bodies in both the Industrial Revolution and Mechanical Turk workers on’s online job platform.

Library sound levels

The Library is a busy place, so it’s important to know where to go depending on whether you need a quiet place to study or a place where you can work with your group. Starting this semester, you’ll see signs around the building letting you know which floors are “quiet study” (4th and 5th), and which floors are “active study” (2nd and 3rd). You can also grab a free pair of ear plugs at the Check Out Desk or the Media Library Desk if you’re looking for “deep quiet.”

Support for DACA

The University Library affirms its unequivocal support for the many in our community who will be impacted by the decision to rescind the Deferred Action on Childhood Arrivals (DACA) program. We will do everything in our power to ensure physical and virtual library spaces remain safe and inclusive environments for the CSUSM community.
