Letters of support help to provide judges with a disciplinary context for student submissions.
Letters of support should address the following:
How does the student project address significant questions within the discipline?
How well does the student project adhere to established disciplinary dimensions/norms such as argumentation style and/or approach, investigative methods, and selection and utilization of information sources/influences?
If this is a group project, the letter should address contributions of the entire group.
Students are required to submit both their completed research project as well as a short essay reflecting on their research process and use of information. Please refer to the Evaluation Rubric to see how submissions (including the letter of support) will be judged.
