Assistant Librarian Pool

CSU San Marcos seeks energetic, enthusiastic, and technologically knowledgeable librarians to apply for  temporary positions that may occur between July 1, 2009 and June 30, 2010.

Responsibilities depend upon the particular need, and may include instruction, reference and/or collection development tasks.   Time-base also depends upon the particular need.

SALARY: The salary is based on the full-time pay of $3,955 per month.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• M.L.S. from an A.L.A.-accredited school or its equivalent
• experience or education in the use of traditional and electronic information resources
• strong computer skills
• ability to work in a team environment and build working relationships
• strong service orientation
• strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
• ability to learn and apply new technologies quickly
• academic library experience preferred
